“Be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe. No less than the trees and the stars. In the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.”

Adult Therapy

In my professional career to date, I have come to witness how our past and current day societal values and beliefs have impacted the psychological well-being, both in positive and not-so-positive ways, on our adult population. More and more, I see adults that are often wondering, pondering and becoming introspective with their understanding of self in relation to their environment/social relationships. The intent of “being the best one can be” is admirable without question, however at times our best intentions can have problematic actual effects within ourselves and with others.

At be. Psychological Services, areas of adult individual therapeutic work can include (but not limited to) the following areas:

  • current/reoccurring feelings of depression
  • anxiety related issues
  • challenges with anger management (i.e. emotional regulation skills)
  • life-transitions (e.g. entering the independent stage of adulthood, sole parenting challenges, etc.)
  • family of origin work (i.e. issues from childhood, Adult Attachment Theory interview)
  • complex trauma work
